Do you ever feel like being spied on?

Feels like someone is monitoring your activities on your device?

Are you just being paranoid? Or could it be something else?

The feeling of being spied on will give you a feeling of discomfort that could lead to anxiety. If you continuously feel like being spied on through your device, then this could be something else. Never underestimate your gut feeling because you might be infected with spyware.

Spyware is unwanted software that infiltrates your computing device, stealing your internet usage data and sensitive information. Spyware is classified as a type of malware — malicious software designed to gain access to or damage your computer, often without your knowledge.

Spyware is dangerous as it can track your online activities and gather sensitive information. Cyber attackers can use your information in different kinds of cyber attacks to get money or use it for identity theft.
In our previous blogs, we have focused on the tips in preventing falling victim to cyber attacks. You may already have strong passwords, a password manager, VPN, anti-malware software, and such. But cybercriminals will always find new ways to trick victims.

Cyber attacks, especially ransomware attacks, are evolving to the point that no one and no organization is safe from the attack. Ransomware attacks will not end anytime soon.
It seems like cybersecurity issues are in the news all the time. The data security industry has come a long way in defending against malicious attacks, but cyber threats are still prevalent and succeeding in many business environments.
Law firms have so much sensitive data and that is why they are one of the major targets of cyber criminals for ransomware. According to American Bar Association, 26% of law firms experienced a form of data breach. Of course, you don’t want your firm to be part of that statistic.

Scams usually involve impersonation attacks. The attacker pretends to be someone who is from a legitimate company and manipulates the victim until he gets the thing that he wants. Impersonation dominates attacks. This could damage someone’s reputation and lead to possible danger in many ways.

The danger of impersonation can also be done online. This is known as domain impersonation.

Lawyers have a responsibility to protect personal information of clients under the Rules of Conduct and Client Care as well as the Privacy Act 2020. Breaching this can result in penalties as well as loss of reputation or worse. But what if an unauthorized person from the Internet reveals it?
Are you the kind of person who usually has lots of tabs open in Chrome?

When you have multiple tabs open, it gets harder to find exactly which one to open without opening the wrong tab. It could be an irritating thing for some of us, especially if you are in a hurry.

Well, Google Chrome has something for you.

Too many tabs open? No problem!

Google Chrome has a hidden tab search feature that you can enable. It allows you to search through your multiple tabs in all of your open browser windows – even the page you’re looking at is located in a different window.

If you have a large number of tabs open and you can’t keep track of them, the tab search will allow you to search through them and then navigate to the one you want quickly.
